Delroy’s Kitchen is inspired by one of the owner's fathers, who began his journey in the hotel hospitality industry from humble beginnings. Serving both locals and tourists from all around the world, he became known for his one-of-a-kind jerk recipes and signature side dishes.
His food became so popular he was able to open his own restaurant in his hometown of Ocho Rios, St Ann, Jamaica, and everyday, lines would stretch around the corner. Roger fondly remembers as a very young child:
'My father could never make enough food or keep up with the soaring demand, customers would come from near and far - worldwide - just to experience my father's famous jerk chicken & pork dishes.'
The business thrived for many years, but due to declining health and old age, Delroy soon had to retire and after a very brief battle with cancer, sadly passed away. His legacy still lives on in the local communities he touched and is still talked about today. He still lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, loved him and shared hearty food & conversations with him over the years - we are here to remember him and continue his legacy.
